The purpose of this program is geared toward pre-kindergarten students to help them learn and understand good safety habits both at home and away. Children will become acquainted with a semi-school routine as well as becoming friends with many resource people in our community. Your child will be more confident and secure when they start school in the fall. Each child is taught basic rules of traffic and pedestrian safety, fire prevention, school bus safety, poison control, water safety, stranger danger and much more. In addition to the activities in the classroom, the students will practice pedestrian safety, learn how to get to and from school safely and "drive" big-wheel type cars while learning traffic rules. Safety Town is specially designed for your child's needs - it's both fun and educational.

HORSE RIDING LESSONS (Western Style) For students in grades K-12. Saddle up and learn to ride. Classes forming now in Western Style riding. Lessons are held at Duke Farms, 44 W. Samaria Rd., Temperance, MI. Indoor arena and viewing room is utilized. Please wear jeans or long pants & shoes or boots to class. Safety helmets are provided.

Ages 5 and up: Excited about returning to school? Have fun creating this cute school bus canvas! Students to add their own unique touches to make their artwork truly their own, while following my detailed instructions. The goal is to have fun while flexing their artistic muscles. All supplies included.

Students will receive instruction in traditional Japanese Goju Ruy Karate-do. Stretching and strengthening the body (junbiundo), basic techniques (kihon), traditional formal exercises (kata), and sparring strategy (kumite) will be the major focus of this class. All will receive expert age-appropriate instruction, attention and assistance in class. NOTE: This class meets twice/week, Thursdays at Jackman Rd. Safe Sitter is a medically-oriented instruction session that teaches boys and girls ages 11-13 to handle emergencies when caring for young children. It is a 5-1/2-hour program with hands-on training the following areas: basic lifesaving techniques, safety precautions to prevent accidents, how to activate an emergency system, and tips on basic child care. Class limit of 9.

This course is specifically designed for young karate students grades K-2. In addition to receiving instruction in the basic techniques of Japanese Goju Ryu Karate-do, our youngest students will receive developmental instruction in body coordination, flexibility, self-discipline, listening skills, and team work.
