The Bedford Youth Grades K-3 Co-Ed Basketball League is open to both boys & girls and will be divided by grades (Grades K-1 and Grades 2-3.) Players will learn basketball skills and play games in an organized league. Basket height will be adjusted for for this age group. Each team will have one practice a week for an hour in an elementary school gym. Games will be played on Saturdays. Bedford residents have priority in being placed on a team. Space remaining is open to other communities depending on the number of participants, volunteer coaches and facility space. Registrations are on a first-come basis. League size depends on the number of volunteer coaches. Coaches Needed: Volunteers are very valuable to the success of this league. Please consider coaching or assist coaching a team. The purpose of this league is to introduce preschool kids to the game of basketball. The intent is to teach basic skills and provide the opportunity to enjoy playing on a team. To maximize participation, league rules require every team member equal playing time during all games with an emphasis on skill development, team building and good sportsmanship.
